Technical support to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG)

Since 2011, Euro Health Group has successfully provided technical support to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the Global Fund. The OIG carries out independent and objective audits in Global Fund recipient countries to assure that resources granted are judiciously used.

The audits assess the current and potential future arrangements for ongoing and prospective grants to the specific country where the audit take place. Each specific audit objective is defined following the audit planning stage/country risk assessment.

The Euro Health Group consultants participating in these audits include specialists in procurement and supply chain management, monitoring and evaluation and public health, all of whom have in depth knowledge of HIV, TB and malaria and health system strengthening.

Countries completed 2011-2022: Mozambique, Zanzibar, Guinea-Bissau, Uzbekistan, Geneva (Global Fund HQ incl. Cambodia, DRC, India, Indonesia), Ukraine, Madagascar, Ghana, Sudan, Angola, Pakistan, Guatemala, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Bangladesh.
