EHG organizes evaluation dissemination workshop in Zambia
In November 2017, EHG succesfully organized a high-level dissemination workshop to share the results of the mid-term evaluation of the MDGi programme to accelerate the reduction of maternal, neonatal and child morbidity and mortality and improve nutrition in Zambia. The 50 million Euro MDGi programme is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF and its partners.
The aim of the workshop was to present the main findings and recommendations of the mid-term evaluation, and to discuss lessons learned and the way forward. During a full-day workshop, over 75 participants from the national and sub-national level, including Ministry of Health and development partners, came together to listen to the presentations of the evaluation team and discuss implications for the overall strategic direction of the programme.
The highly participatory nature of the workshop ensured that participants were given the opportunity to discuss cross-cutting technical questions during break-out-sessions. They were aIso invited to identify actions to operationalize the recommendations that had not yet been implemented. A key outcome of the workshop was to develop draft work-plans for 2018 in response to the evaluation findings.
