Implementing the Global Fund HSS Thematic Review

EHG was contracted by the Global Fund to conduct a Thematic Review of its investments in health systems strengthening (HSS) in 14 targeted countries. As the Global Fund is not in a position to support all of a country's health systems related needs, investments have been prioritised around: Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM), Health Management Information Systems (HMIS), human resources for health (HRH), service delivery, financial management, and policy and governance.

The team of specialists led by Wendy Abramson and including Tim Clary, Sanja Matovic Miljanovic (EHG staff) and Camilla Buch von Schroeder will conduct a number of targeted desk studies and country case studies looking at targeted HSS support and activities in order to provide the Global Fund with recommendations on operational modalities to improve HSS investment and implementation with a forward looking view towards the new Global Fund Strategy 2017-2021.
