Special Studies: Assessments, Reviews, Surveys and Formulations
Operational research is a cornerstone of public health programmes as it contributes to a better understanding of the context, the strengths and weaknesses, or the needs of a specific population group, organisation or system. In this way, the knowledge generated through operational research can help formulate recommendations, inform program design, or improve on-going interventions.
EHG carries out various project appraisals and assessments, feasibility studies, multi-country reviews, surveys and project formulations. Our multi-disciplinary teams of researchers and public health experts apply a mixed methods approach using quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including for example desk studies, interviews, focus group discussions, observation, household and facility surveys, data verification and audit techniques, and stakeholder analysis.
