Outcome and Impact Evaluations

Evaluating public health programs is key to generating sound knowledge about what has been achieved in terms of improved processes or health impact. It can also help to understand which approaches are more impactful than others.

EHG engages multidisciplinary research teams to design and implement complex outcome and impact evaluations of public health programmes. We employ a contribution analysis approach in our impact evaluations based on development and understanding of the overarching Theory of Change.  Both quantitative and qualitative approaches are utilized when conducting impact evaluations including Utilization Focused Evaluation (UFE) and experimental and quasi experimental designs including difference-on-difference, step wedged and dosage design.
